The MDDA to host its annual Funders Breakfast and to launch a Fundraising

On Friday 11 March 2022, the MDDA will host its annual Funders Breakfast at Emperors Palace, Gauteng. The agency will also launch its fundraising strategy at this annual event, which is expected to be covered by both community and the mainstream media platforms.
The Deputy Minister in The Presidency, Ms Thembi Siweya, (MP) will deliver a keynote address speech, at the event.
The MDDA Funders Breakfast is an annual event, that is held with current and prospective funders on the MDDA’s key interventions in the community broadcasting, community print and digital sector. The event is aimed at ensuring full transparency, accountability to MDDA funders and partners on the disbursement of their funds to the sector and other support.
It is held to account to the funders on the utilisation of previous funding/support, and to present future plans for the coming financial year, which will include a fundraising campaign and the development of a sustainability model informed by ongoing research.
Amongst the agency’s plans for its 20th anniversary next year will be the showcasing of its sustainability model.
